Woodland Wonders (ages 6 - 12)

A Day in the Life of a Camper

  • Families may drop off their child early! During this time, children will engage in open-ended play and group games in our gymnasium.

  • Children can be dropped off at camp anytime between 8:30am and 9am each morning. During this time, children enjoy open-ended play and team building with their camper crew!

  • Each camper crew comes together to greet one another and learn about the special events and activities for the day!

  • All Woodland Wonders campers and counselors come together for skits, campfire songs and fun!

  • Children journey with their camper crew to their first activity of the day! Activities may include: drama and music, art and design, nature play and exploration, field games and team building, and fun at nature playground. For example, during Drama &b Music children will head out to the “whimsical woods” where they may enter the imaginary world of mythical creatures through music, song, dance and theater games.

  • Children journey with their camper crew to their second activity of the day! Activities may include: drama and music, art and design, nature play and exploration, field games and team building, and fun at the nature playground. For example, at Field Games & TeamBuilding children will head to “frog’s field” to play organized group games, learning old classics as well as new games too! They may link up with another camper crew to engage in some friendly competition. If it’s a hot day, campers may be surprised with some water fun to cool off!

  • Camper Crews will pick up prepared lunches and find an area on campus to picnic. This is a good time to cool off, refresh sunscreen, fill the water bottle, and use the bathroom.

  • Children journey with their camper crew to their third activity of the day! Activities may include: drama and music, art and design, nature play and exploration, field games and team building, and fun at the nature playground. For example, during Nature Play & Exploration children will head to the pond to relax in a shady spot, work in teams to build boats using natural materials, or kayak on the pond.

  • Children journey with their camper crew to their forth activity of the day! Activities may include: drama and music, art and design, nature play and exploration, field games and team building, and fun at the nature playground. For example, in Art & Design children will head to “chipmunk’s creative studio” to explore various materials and media, creating an original and unique work of art.

  • Camper Crews will find a shady spot on campus to enjoy a restful snack break. This is a good time to cool off, refresh sunscreen, fill the water bottle, and use the bathroom.

  • Children journey with their camper crew to their fifth activity of the day! Activities may include: drama and music, art and design, nature play and exploration, field games and team building, and fun at the nature playground. For example, at our Nature Playground children will participate in our “daily special” each day which includes activities such as slip n’ slide, backyard games, and s’mores around the campfire to name a few. They will also get the chance to enjoy all that our nature playground has to offer!

  • Our afternoon camper crew time is a time to pack up, cool down, and reflect on the day’s adventures. During this time, we may share about the day, engage in a relaxing game, or sing songs as a group.

  • Children can be picked up at camp anytime between 3:45pm - 4:00pm each afternoon. During this time, children enjoy relaxing games and/or songs their camper crew!
